New Mexico State (11-3, 0-0 WAC) at Cal Baptist (8-5, 0-0 WAC) – 10:00 PM EST (Live Stream)

There are several matchups worthy of the UTR Game of the Day (Louisiana Tech-North Texas, Marshall-Old Dominion and Citadel-East Tennessee State to name a few), but tonight we focus on last year’s Team of the People as the Cal Baptist Lancers play host to the New Mexico State Aggies in their first-ever conference game in Division I. The Lancers won their 1,000th game as a program in their last home game against non-DI La Verne 97-46 last Saturday night. Some notable wins by the Lancers include a buzzer-beater winner at Oral Roberts and a win at crosstown rival UC-Riverside. Milan Acquaah leads the Lancers with 22.2 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.

New Mexico State comes into tonight’s game 10-3 against Division I competition – this includes a pair of two-game sweeps against UTEP, New Mexico and Washington State. You could even argue that the Aggies are slightly disappointing outside of a close loss at Kansas; they do have a home loss to Saint Mary’s and a loss against Drake in the Las Vegas Classic. Ivan Aurrecoechea leads the Aggies with 11.8 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game.
