The New Hampshire Wildcats have earned the distinct honor of being this year’s HoopsHD Team of the People.  We have dedicated ourselves here at HoopsHD to do everything we can to help the State of New Hampshire put a team into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1959.  Tonight, the UNH Wildcats will be hosting the Southland Conference’s Abilene Christian Wildcats as they attempt to go 3-0 on the young season.  UNH has already scored a home win over non-D1 Lesley and one of the biggest road wins in program history, at Temple.  Star player Tanner Leissner led the way with 12 points and 8 rebounds in that game.  As the Wildcats continue to pick up wins, we intend to see that they not only remain seriously Under Consideration for an NCAA Tournament bid, but also to begin receiving votes for the Top 25 polls.  #RankUNH

Tonight’s opponent for UNH is Abilene Christian.  ACU is in their final transitional year before becoming a full member of Division I and eligible for the NCAA Tournament.  They do enter tonight’s game at 1-0, though that win was against non-D1 Schreiner.  Tonight’s game will be a much tougher test for this team, led by Jaylen Franklin and Jaren Lewis.  However, Abilene Christian is not the big story tonight.  Changing the State Motto to #GoDancingOrDie is not the biggest story.  Even the fact that tonight is COUNTRY WESTERN NIGHT in Durham, New Hampshire is not the biggest story.  The big story is that with a win tonight the long-running campaign to #RankUNH (in existence for at least 8 hours as of this posting) will grow even stronger.  How can anything be bigger than that?
