On this episode of the Bracket Racket, the crew gets together and recaps what was a relatively slow week in college basketball. We talk about the struggles of some of the top teams, including Kentucky, Kansas, and Michigan State, while applauding Arizona, Wichita State, and others for getting their work done in a satisfactory manner. We also play an elongated round of “Good or Not Good” with some of the undefeated teams, including Villanova, Iowa State, UMass, and Pitt.
Finally, we give you a preview of the top games upcoming this week, get thoroughly confused trying to identify the pre-Christmas holiday tournaments, and lament the lack of an on-fire small-conference team on the horizon this winter.
Just FYI: St. Mary’s will be playing in the Diamond Head Classic next week, getting either Hawai’i or Boise State in the second round and a potential championship game against Iowa State on Christmas Day. So make sure you leave plenty of milk and cookies out for Santa so he brings us that game!
