The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is the site of tonight’s Under the Radar Game of the Day (with all apologies to Vermont at Bucknell), as a pair of teams that have great chances to be dancing in March, and making some noise in the Tournament, go head-to-head. Missouri State enters tonight’s game at 6-2 on the season, and is coming off a home win over Colorado State earlier this week. Obediah Church had 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Bears in the victory, while Ryan Kreklow came off the bench to score 20. Although the Missouri Valley Conference is a lot more wide open this season with Wichita State gone, Mo State certainly has the talent and depth to contend for and win the conference title.
South Dakota State enters tonight’s game at 7-2 overall, coming off a huge road overtime win at Ole Miss. The Jackrabbits dominated most of that game before the Rebels came back late to tie it and force OT. However, SD State, behind 26 points from Mike Daum, was able to pull out the victory. The Jackrabbits only losses so far this season were at Kansas and in the Cayman Islands Classic to Wyoming. This team has certainly already shown it has the ability to win big games, and can put another solid feather in its cap this evening.
