Under the Radar Game of the Day: UC-Santa Barbara at Sacramento State

Today is the final day of action before we take a three day holiday break from the Under the Radar Game of the Day.  Tonight, the Gauchos of UC-Santa Barbara visit the Sacramento State Hornets.  UCSB enters the game at 9-3 on the season, already having picked up road wins at Pepperdine and Montana State.   Their three losses have all come to power conference teams — Pittsburgh, Texas A&M and USC.  Max Heidegger has scored in double figures every game this season, while Leland King has already notched five double-doubles.

In this final contest before the holiday break, the Gauchos will be visiting Sacramento State.  The host Hornets enter the game at only 3-9 on the year, with two of those wins having coming against non-D1 competition.  They did defeat Cal State-Northridge earlier this week as four starters all scored in double digits.  Joshua Patton led the way with 16 points and 8 boards for Sac State.  The Hornets will need another strong team effort like that to win against one of the favorites in the Big West conference as they play their final non-conference game of the season tonight.
