Buffalo at Kent State, 7:00 PM Eastern, espn3
The Buffalo Bulls are back in the spotlight again as the Under the Radar Game of the Day returns to the Mid-American Conference tonight. Tonight’s game at Kent State may be the toughest remaining road test left on the Bulls’ regular season schedule. Buffalo enters with a record of 16-5 overall and 8-0 in MAC play. They have solid metrics, with the exception of their RPI — which is flat out amazing at 26. More realistically, their KPI rating is in the mid-50s and their JNG is in the low 60s. Leading the way for the Bulls this season has been Nick Perkins, who scored 20 last time out and CJ Massinburg, who has 7 double-doubles on the season. Also, don’t forget Missouri transfer Wes Clark who has provided this team with even more depth since becoming eligible after the first semester.
Kent State enters tonight’s game at 11-10 overall and 5-3 in MAC play. The Golden Flashes are coming off an 8 point road win at Central Michigan last time out. Jaylin Walker and Kevin Zabo both scored over 20 points in that win, while Adonis De La Rosa notched a double-double. Another strong team effort will be needed tonight if Kent State wants to hand the Bulls their first MAC loss of the season.
