Kent State (10-3, 0-0) at Bowling Green (9-4, 0-0) – 9:00 PM EST (CBS Sports Network)
Today’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to northwest Ohio where the hometown Bowling Green Falcons will host the Kent State Golden Flashes in a matchup of two leading contenders in the MAC. The Falcons got off to a decent start that included a runner-up finish in the Paradise Jame that included a win against Cincinnati before losing to the eventual tournament champion Nevada. Justin Turner (19.4 PPG) returned to the Falcons’ lineup after missing six games due to a hamstring injury in an 81-68 victory over Hartford in their last outing.
Kent State got a nice win at Wright State back in November, although they haven’t had a win nearly as significant since that point. They are 2-2 in their last four games, although losses against UC-Irvine (on a neutral court at UTEP) and at Mississippi State are certainly understandable. Danny Pippen averages 14.4 points a game and 6.3 rebounds a game for the Golden Flashes.
