Today’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Birmingham, Alabama for a pair of undefeated teams along Interstate 59 – the Chattanooga Mocs hit the road to take on the UAB Blazers. UAB has won all their home games to date by 20+ points, although they did pass their only real test with a 65-61 road win last week at East Tennessee State. Michael Ertel averages 14 points a game through their first seven games, and 4 Blazers overall average double figures in points.
Chattanooga, like UAB, is looking to be the first team in D1 to reach their eighth victory of the season so far. None of their wins really jumps out at you so far, but they do have three wins away from home so far this year, including a win at Middle Tennessee. Malachi Smith (15.6 PPG, 11.o RPG) is averaging a double-double for the Mocs thus far.
