Under the Radar Game of the Day – Thursday, February 4

Montana State at Weber State, 9:00 PM Eastern, pluto.tv

A huge battle at the top of the Big Sky standings is the focus for tonight’s Under the Radar Game of the Day as perennial powerhouse Weber State welcome undefeated Montana State to Ogden.  Weber State currently sits at 4-2 in Big Sky play and 8-4 overall.  The Wildcats’ 2 losses place them in a three way tie in the loss column with Southern Utah and Eastern Washington (though both those schools have more wins so far).  Isiah Brown leads the way for Weber State, averaging 18.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.  Thee other double-digit scorers help make Weber one of the most fun teams in this league to watch play, as evidenced by their top-40 rated Tempo according to KenPom and #4 national three-point shooting percentage.

Montana State enters play tonight at a surprising 6-0 in conference and 9-3 overall.  Xavier Bishop (15.6 points per game) and Amin Adamu (15.4 points per game) have led the way so far this season.  With the Bobcats’ six wins having come against three of the bottom five teams so far in the league, it can be argued that they have not yet truly been tested.  That will all change tonight and Saturday at Weber, as Montana State has a chance to make it clear that they are contenders and not pretenders.
