-Villanova jumped out big against Creighton and despite a late run by the Bluejays held on for a really impressive 72-60 win.
-Syracuse is starting to play better. They’ve still got some work to do to land inside the bubble, but the opportunities they need are there and they’re starting to look good enough to take advantage of them. They knocked off a pretty good Clemson team last night 74-64
-UConn won a bubblicious game against Seton Hall, which was a great win for the Huskies and a damaging loss for The Hall.
-Missouri got a really nice win against Florida to pull them out of a bit of a slump. This should help give them a nice nudge up the seedlist.
-Oregon is looking better now than they have all season, and picked up another really nice win against UCLA last night. If they finish strong it wouldn’t shock me at all if the Ducks ended up in the top half of the bracket.
-Maryland, who had been red hot, fell at Northwestern in a bit of a shocker. Maryland has a lot of good things on their resume so this loss won’t sink them, but it doesn’t exactly help either.
-Stanford needed a big win, and last night they had a big opportunity to get one at USC. They came up just 37 points short. USC rolled them 79-42 and played one of their better games of the year.
HIGHLIGHTED GAMES
-MICHIGAN STATE AT MICHIGAN (Big Ten). It’s a rivalry game. Michigan State is squarely on the bubble, and Michigan looks like they’ll end up as a #1 seed. Sparty Michigan is coming off a rather decisive loss to Illinois, so a win against their rivals would be a nice way to bounce back. EDITED BY CHAD. #StupidPuppet
-OKLAHOMA STATE AT BAYLOR (Big 12). Oklahoma State is coming off very impressive back to back wins against Oklahoma, and Baylor is coming off an incredible win at West Virginia. Baylor is looking like a #1 seed, and Oklahoma State is looking like they could end up as a protected seed. This one should be fun!
-TCU AT WEST VIRGINIA (Big 12). Most Big 12 games have been great this year. This is one that likely will not be. WVU should roll and continue to be in the range for a #2 seed.
-IOWA STATE AT TEXAS TECH (Big 12). Most Big 12 games have been great this year. This is another one that likely will not be. Texas Tech should roll.
-NEBRASKA AT IOWA (Big Ten). Most Big Ten games have been great. This is one that likely will not be. Iowa should roll. Although, Nebraska did blow out Rutgers in their last game, so they should have some confidence coming in.
-TEXAS AT OKLAHOMA (Big 12). Oklahoma is coming off back to back losses to Oklahoma State, but they’re still in good shape and still a likely protected seed. Texas is looking to pick up another road win and take a step closer to cementing down a protected seed for themselves. Oh yeah, this is also a rivalry game!
-ARIZONA STATE AT COLORADO (Pac 12). Colorado has been hot and cold this year, but mostly hot and they’re hot right now. They have cracked the rankings and should be able to coast into the top half of the bracket if they hold serve the rest of the way.
-WYOMING AT UTAH STATE (Mountain West). Utah State is right on the bubble. They need to avoid bad losses (like this one) and have a strong showing in the MWC Tournament if they want a shot at making the field.
-UTEP AT KANSAS. Buy game
