Under the Radar Game of the Day – Thursday, March 4

Canisius at Siena, 7:00 PM Eastern, MYTV4-Albany/espn3

The Siena Saints will be concluding their regular season, and taking their shot at the Metro Atlantic regular season championship, with a pair of home games tonight and tomorrow night against the Canisius Golden Griffins.  The first of these two games is tonight’s Under the Radar Game of the Day.  Siena enters the game at 11-3 overall and in MAAC play.  They have won three in a row since a February 20 loss at Niagara.  Manny Camper is the key player for the Saints, as he is averaging a double-double (14.2 points and 10.2 rebounds) long with 4.1 assists per game.

Canisius is currently 6-4 overall and in MAAC play, meaning that they are just barely going to reach the minimum 12 games against D1 play before the MAAC Tournament necessary to be eligible for the NCAA Tournament.  The Grifs have applied to the NCAA for a waiver in case these games do not happen, but as of the time of posting this article, it appears to be good to go.  Malek Green has led the way so far for Canisius with an average of 12.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.  He and his teammates will have to play one of their best games so far if they want to pick up the huge road win in Albany and try to keep Siena from a shot at the regular season championship,
