Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day serves as the beginning of conference play in the Missouri Valley for both Drake and Indiana State. The Drake Bulldogs not only won the Paradise Jam down in the Virgin Islands, but had no letdown after returning home to beat Louisiana 76-64. Tucker DeVries and DJ Wilkins each had 21 points for Drake in the win against the Rajun’ Cajuns.

Indiana State has also quietly put together a decent start at 6-1; they ended up with a 3rd place finish in the Gulf Coast Showcase with wins against East Carolina and Drexel and a surprising loss to Kansas City. The Sycamores (or simply the Trees as the Puppet likes to call them) beat Trinity Christian 105-68 in their final tuneup before conference play. DePaul transfer Courvoisier McCauley has led ISU with 18.0 points a game and 6.2 rebounds a game this season.
