Following a 3-game losing streak earlier in the season, the Zips have now won 6 of 7 games. Enrique Freeman scored 27 points for Akron in their blowout win at home against Northern Illinois.
Ball State extended their winning streak to 6 games following a 90-83 win on the road against MAC preseason favorite Toledo. Jarron Coleman had 26 points and Demarius Jacobs added 25 points in the victory against the Rockets.
