Yale (17-6, 7-3) at Pennsylvania (14-11, 6-4) – 7:00 PM ET (ESPNEWS)
Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to the historic Palestra in Philadelphia where the Penn Quakers will host the Yale Bulldogs in a pivotal Ivy League matchup. Yale is tied with Princeton for first place in the Ivy and brings a 6-game winning streak into what has been one of the most difficult road trips in all of college basketball: the Princeton-Penn back-to-back doubleheader. Matt Knowling averages 14.9 points a game and 5.2 rebounds a game for the Bulldogs.
Penn had a 3-game losing streak in midseason against Dartmouth, Princeton and Yale, but now they get a chance to avenge all three losses in the final 4 games of the regular season. The Quakers have since won 5 straight games, most recent was a win at Harvard last weekend. Jordan Dingle is one of the most prolific scorers in the NCAA – he averages 24 points a game.
