Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Riverside, California to the Lancer Joust multi-team event (MTE) being hosted by California Baptist. The Lancers will host the Portland State Vikings in a battle of unbeaten teams. Portland State kicked off the year with a non-D1 victory at home, but quickly showed that they would be a team to be reckoned with in the Big Sky with road wins at Air Force and UC-Santa Barbara. KJ Allen has averaged 12.3 points a game and 2 steals per game for the Vikings.

California Baptist started off the year with a non-D1 victory against San Francisco State; their first game against D1 competition was an 80-66 victory at home against Jackson State. Dominique Daniels has averaged 23.5 points a game in the Lancers’ first two games; Hunter Goodrick is also averaging 12.5 rebounds a game. The Lancers will also play St. Thomas-Minnesota and Cal Poly as part of the Lancer Joust MTE.
