We kick off the 2025 calendar year with a matchup of Horizon League contenders as the Mastodons of Purdue-Fort Wayne visit the Northern Kentucky Norse at Truist Arena. The Mastodons suffered a tough 1-point loss at Detroit Mercy to start league play, but since then have rattled off three straight wins against IU-Indy, Robert Morris and Green Bay to get to within a game of league leader Youngstown State. Jalen Jackson averages 18.1 points a game and 3.5 assists a game for Fort Wayne.

NKU started off the season in the Horizon League with a 2-point win at IU-Indy and then a 13-point win at home against Detroit Mercy. The Norse did lose a triple-overtime game at Robert Morris in their last game on Sunday; LJ Wells had 19 points and 13 rebounds against RMU in the loss.
