Welcome back to another year of NCAA tourney predictions. Last year HoopsHD’s Jon Teitel correctly picked 66 of the 68 teams that made the tourney, including 62 right on the money or within 1 spot of their actual seed. He will spend the next 9 weeks predicting which 68 teams will hear their names called on Selection Sunday, with new updates each week. See below for his list of who would make the cut if they picked the field today, and let us know if you agree or disagree in the comments section. Was this bracket made before or after yesterday’s games?

  3. Niket Todi says:

How far is Wisconsin from a bid at this point?

    • Jon Teitel says:

I fear they are pretty far for a variety of reasons:
9-8 record, 3 home losses to teams outside top-100,
best wins are over VCU by 1 PT and over Syracuse in OT, etc.
that being said, their 3 conference losses to good teams are by a combined 10 PTS,
and due to strength of the big 10 they will have LOTS of chances for good wins,
so if they can take care of business against the bad teams,
and somehow upset a good team like the Spartans or hawkeyes,
then win a couple of games in the conference tourney,
I suppose they have a shot, but it is an uphill battle at the moment.
