The Under the Radar Game of the Day heads to Emmitsburg, Maryland as we focus in on the current first place team in the Northeast Conference, Mount St. Mary’s.  Entering play tonight, the Mountaineers are 9-12 overall and 7-1 in conference play, including a win at LIU-Brooklyn and a home win over the team tied with them for first place, Fairleigh Dickinson.  The Mount’s only slip-up in NEC play was a surprising one point road loss at Bryant.  Junior Robinson led the way with 19 points for the Mountaineers last time out in a win over St. Francis-Brooklyn.  Elijah Long also scored his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Mount St. Mary’s has at least half a dozen players capable of leading the team in scoring, making them a tough team to defend.  For these reasons, the Mount is our current favorite to take win this conference and capture home court advantage in the NEC Tournament.

Robert Morris enters play tonight with a record of 3-5 in conference and 7-14 overall.  The Colonials suffered a 3 point home loss to Bryant over the weekend.  Dachon Burke led the team with 16 points and Kavon Stewart added 13 for RMU.  Also keep an eye on Isaiah Still who has scored in double figured 14 times so far this season.  With only 3 NEC wins so far, the Colonials need to start picking up wins if they want to guarantee a top 8 finish and a berth in the conference tournament.  A win in Maryland tonight would put them well on their way to doing just that, and could even get the Colonials moving towards a top 4 finish and a home game in the first round.
