Wofford (23-4, 15-0 SoCon) at Furman (22-5, 11-4 SoCon) – 4:00 PM EST (ESPN3)

Today’s UTR Game of the Day is a no-brainer – we go to Spartanburg, South Carolina where the Wofford Terriers play host to their upstate rival Furman Paladins. Wofford is on the doorstep of clinching the outright regular season title in the SoCon and is currently looking like not just an NCAA Tournament team, but a first-ballot team (meaning they would be one of the top 36 teams that would appear on 8 out of 10 initial tournament ballots from the NCAA Selection Committee). Wofford will finish their regular season with three road games, but their game at Furman gives them one more opportunity at a Quad 1 win before the SoCon Tournament. Not only is Fletcher Magee (20.1 PPG) a threat for the Terriers, but Cameron Jackson (14.7 PPG, 7.4) and Nathan Hoover (13.2 PPG) make for a formidable three-headed monster for Wofford.

Furman started the year strong with a win at Villanova, but it looked like the bloom was coming off the rose after blowout losses at LSU and East Tennessee State. They have already avenged losses against ETSU and UNC-Greensboro, and now get chances to avenge both Wofford today and Samford to end their regular season. The Paladins are also in the picture for a potential at-large NCAA Tournament bid should they fail to win the SoCon Tournament themselves. Right now, they’ve won six straight games and are led by Matt Rafferty (17.1 PPG, 9.0 RPG).
