Today’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Bowling Green, Kentucky (home of the Corvette Museum) where the hometown Hilltoppers will host the Austin Peay Governors in a Saturday matinee involving two NCAA Tournament hopefuls. In their opener on Tuesday, WKU defeated Tennessee Tech 76-64 thanks to 16 points and 9 rebounds from Charles Bassey. Carson Williams also had 16 points for the Toppers.
Austin Peay opened their season with a non-D1 victory against Oakland City on Tuesday night with the Govs winning 110-67. Terry Taylor led APSU with 21 points; Jordyn Adams also had 20 points (both of whom played only 28 minutes). Taylor is also a finalist for the CollegeInsider.com’s Lou Henson Award winner as one of the nation’s top UTR players.
