South Alabama earned their way into today’s semifinal round with a 74-62 victory against Northeastern in their tournament opener. Josh Ajayi had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds; Chad Lott led the Jaguars with 19 points.
(Mother) Miami earned their way into today’s semifinal with a 67-59 victory against the Drake Bulldogs. Nike Sibande led the RedHawks with 16 points and 11 rebounds in yesterday’s victory. Since a season-opening loss at home to Wright State, Miami has won four straight games including yesterday’s win – their other notable result was an 84-80 victory at Purdue-Fort Wayne.
