While the best game involving UTR teams today involves Western Kentucky visiting Wright State, it would be sacrilege of us not to mention at least one round of the Battle of the Boulevard this season. Belmont beat Lipscomb 73-67 12 days ago in the first matchup that was played at Lipscomb. In that game, Grayson Murray had 15 points and 5 assists for the Bruins en route to their fourteenth win in the last 16 meetings between the two teams.
The Bisons of Lipscomb are coming off of an 87-62 loss at Xavier last Saturday. Along the aforementioned losses to Belmont and X, Lipscomb also came up short against MTSU, Tennessee State and Duquesne sandwiched around road wins at Navy and Tennessee Tech. Ahsan Asadullah leads Lipscomb with 13.9 points a game and 11 rebounds a game.
