Georgia Southern (6-3, 4-3 D1) at Bradley (7-3, 6-3 D1) – 5:00 PM EST (ESPN3)
Today’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Peoria, Illinois for a matchup between the Eagles of Georgia Southern and the Bradley Braves. Bradley finished 3rd in the Rocket Mortgage Tip-Off with a loss against Northwestern and a win against Kansas State back in November down in Fort Myers, Florida. The Braves are a perfect 6-0 at home, although this is their biggest home test of the year with their best win being against perennial Big South favorite Radford. Elijah Childs leads Radford with 15.0 points a game and 9.4 rebounds a game.
Georgia Southern has a slightly bloated record with 2 non-D1 wins, although they have managed a couple of D1 wins away from home – a neutral-court win against Campbell and a road win against Florida Gulf Coast that both game in the FGCU Classic sponsored by Hilton Garden Inn. They did have a missed opportunity at the beginning of the season to get a win at Auburn, but instead ended up with a 9-point loss. Both Ike Smith and Elijah McCadden average just under 16 points a game for the Eagles.
