Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day resumes in Baltimore where the hometown Loyola Greyhounds host the River Hawks of UMass-Lowell. Loyola started the season 3-4 with three losses coming via bracketed and nonbracketed games in the mainland Cayman Islands Classic, but they have since gone on a four-game winning streak that includes home wins against Binghamton (and a non-D1 win) and on the road against Delaware State and Mount St. Mary’s. Andrew Kostecka averages over 21 points a game for Loyola.
The River Hawks started their season with three tough losses in their own River Hawk Invitational with losses against Jacksonville, Merrimack and Dartmouth. They have since rebounded with wins in four of their last six games; their most notable win was on the road at NJIT last week. Christian Lutete averages 19.2 points a game and 8.5 rebounds a game for the River Hawks.
