Bowling Green (1-1) at Appalachian State (2-0, 1-0 D1) – 6:00 PM EST (ESPN+)

Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Boone, North Carolina where the Mountaineers of Appalachian State will host the Bowling Green Falcons. App State opened their season with an 81-61 victory against South Carolina State and played what can be called a brief sweat with a 105-23 victory against non-D1 Carver. RJ Duhart was one of four players that scored in double figures in their opener against SC State; he led the Mountaineers with 12 points.

Bowling Green also got their first victory against South Carolina State over the weekend by a 101-78 score; Daequon Plowden led the Falcons with 19 points and 16 rebounds in 32 minutes of game action. Justin Turner (16 points) is another game-breaker to watch for BGSU; he is a leading contender to be the MAC Player of the Year this season and decided to return to grad school despite offers to transfer from higher-profile programs.
