Hofstra (4-2) vs. UNC-Greensboro (3-2) – 2:00 PM ET
We’ve seen quite a few international games early in the college basketball season, and Quebec is now playing host to the nonbracketed Northern Classic. Today’s game sees the Hofstra Pride facing off against the Spartans of UNC-Greensboro. The Spartans opened the Northern Classic with a 77-66 win against Montana State; Keondre Kennedy led the way with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
The season had gotten off to a good start for Hofstra with four straight wins; most noteworthy among that bunch was a 5-point win against Iona. But in their last outing, Hofstra lost to Middle Tennessee State 64-54 in their first game of the Northern Classic. Amare Marshall led the Pride with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
