UNC-Wilmington (4-3) vs. North Texas (5-1) – 8:00 PM ET (FloHoops)
Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day brings us to the championship game of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship Game between the Mean Green of North Texas and the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks. UNT has been a frequent contender in our UTR Top 10 in recent years; ever since a loss at Saint Mary’s early in the season, the Mean Green have been on a four-game winning streak. In their tournament so far, UNT has beaten San Jose State and Long Beach State; both Kai Huntsberry and Abou Ousmane had at least 20 points in their previous game against The Beach.
UNC-W comes in to today’s game with buy game losses against North Carolina, Oklahoma and UConn, but they have rebounded nicely in the tournament with wins against Missouri State and Vermont so far. In the game against the Catamounts, UNC-W trailed 51-37 in the 2nd half before a 16-0 run helped the Seahawks to a comeback win that was a staple of their previous season.
