Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day goes to Boca Raton, Florida – home of the surprising Florida Atlantic Owls. They will host the Eagles of Florida Gulf Coast University in a matchup of the state’s two best UTR teams tonight. FGCU has won five straight games going back to the Gulf Coast Showcase played in nearby Estero. Most recently, they got a 9-point win at home against FIU. Isaiah Thompson is averaging 13.4 points a game so far for the Eagles.

The Owls are currently on a 6-game winning streak that started with a win at Florida prior to Thanksgiving. Other road wins include UAlbany and their last game at Eastern Michigan. Alijah Martin currently averages 12.6 points a game, but defense has been a calling card for FAU with the Owls only allowing on average 64 points a game.
