Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day heads to the West Coast and warmer weather for a matchup between the hometown UC-Irvine Anteaters and the Harvard Crimson. Harvard had won 3 straight games after Thanksgiving but are now on a 2-game losing streak thanks to close losses against Fordham and UMass. Chris Ledlum averages 18.9 points a game and 7.6 rebounds a game.
Things were looking up for UC-Irvine after winning at Oregon in November and also winning a pair of games in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic against Nicholls and New Mexico State during Thanksgiving Break. Since then, the Anteaters have dropped 3 of 4 games – one of which was a loss against a bad Fresno State team at home. DJ Davis averages 15.2 points a game and is nearly automatic from the field; he shoots 45.6% from 3-point range and is a 91% free-throw shooter.
