Today marks the return of the UTR Game of the Day from our annual Holiday Break; we go to Nashville where the Belmont Bruins will host the Bradley Braves. Bradley comes into today’s game already having won games against Northern Iowa and Missouri State into league play; more recently, they are coming off of a 74-55 win against Akron prior to the holiday break. Rienk Mast averages 13.9 points a game and 8.6 rebounds a game for the Braves.
Belmont won their Missouri Valley debut against Valpo in the beginning of December, but they lost their next league contest at Illinois State to fall to 1-1 in conference play. More recently, the Bruins finished noncon play with a pair of wins against SoCon schools; they needed overtime to win at Chattanooga and also got a decisive win against Samford at home. As a team overall, Belmont is shooting at a 41% clip from long range and averages roughly 77 points a game.
