Under The Radar Game of the Day – Wednesday, February 22nd

Marshall (23-6, 12-4) at James Madison (20-9, 11-5) – 7:00 PM ET (ESPN+)

Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day takes us to Harrisonburg, Virginia (hometown of the esteemed Ralph Sampson) for a matchup of two of the newest Sun Belt teams as the Thundering Herd of Marshall visit the James Madison Dukes. In one of their recent contests, Marshall came thundering back from an 11-point deficit against Georgia Southern with 1:36 remaining; Andrew Taylor hit the game-winner with 14 seconds left to give Marshall the win. That win keeps the Herd one game behind Southern Miss in the conference standings.

Oh, what a difference a year makes for the Dukes. One year ago, they were unceremoniously banned from the CAA conference tournament after notifying the conference they were leaving to move on to the Sun Belt Conference. This year, the Dukes are 2 games back of Southern Miss in the conference standings and a leading contender to potentially win the Sun Belt conference tournament in Pensacola. In their last game, Vado Morse led the Dukes with 24 points in a 74-68 victory at home against Louisiana.
