Today’s UTR Game of the Day goes to Charlotte for a neutral-court game between the hometown Charlotte 49ers and the Liberty Flames. This game is part of the “He Gets Us” Hall Of Fame series being played at the downtown Spectrum Center. Liberty opened the season with a non-D1 game against Mid-Atlantic Christian; the Flames won 103-43 with five different players scoring in double figures; Brody Peebles had 20 points off the bench.

Charlotte at least opened their season against a D1 opponent; they defeated Maine 69-52 on Monday night with Nick Graves leading the 49ers with 15 points. The 49ers are 2-4 all-time at the downtown Spectrum Center; other games being played in the “He Gets Us” tripleheader include Virginia/Florida and Virginia Tech/South Carolina.
