Tonight’s UTR Game of the Day takes place in the SoCal Challenge in San Juan Capistrano between a pair of undefeated teams – the Bradley Braves and the UTEP Miners. Malevy Leons scored 18 points to lead Bradley to an 80-77 win against Tulane in the opening game of the Surf Division game in the SoCal Challenge. Prior to this MTE, Bradley has a pair of notable wins against UAB on the road and Utah State at home.
UTEP opened their season with a 4-game winning streak at home; the only win of note in that streak was an 89-76 victory against UC-Santa Barbara. They beat Cal 75-72 in their tournament opener; they were led by Tae Hardy’s 16 points and 5 steals.
