Liberty (11-6, 0-2) at Louisiana Tech (11-6, 1-1) – 3:00 PM ET (ESPN2)

Today’s UTR Matinee of the Day goes to Ruston, Louisiana for a Conference USA matchup between the Liberty Flames and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Liberty started the year strong by winning the championship in the Myrtle Beach Invitational, but the Flames have started the 2024 calendar year in a slump. They opened conference play with a tough loss at Western Kentucky and then followed up the effort with a double-digit loss at home against Jacksonville State.

Louisiana Tech also went through a stretch where they lost 4 out of 5 games; their only win came against non-D1 Dallas Christian. The Bulldogs opened C-USA with a pair of road games; they lost their opener at Sam Houston but were able to rebound with a 60-52 victory at Middle Tennessee State. Daniel Batcho had 16 points for Tech in their victory at MTSU.
